there are a lot of possibilities.
during the winter, i would suggest ankle-cut boots. they don’t have to have heels, just make sure they aren’t the tacky furry kind.
you could wear cowboy boots with the jeans tucked in, or any other kind of tall boot.
it also depends a lot on the fade, dark denim is usually really great paired with round toed flats, but remember, this is all based on my opinion.
